Ways Of Conserving Wildlife

Wildlife refers to all animals that are not domesticated by human beings. However, recently, wildlife has come to include other plants, fungi and other organisms that grow or rather live in the wild without being planted by human beings. Wildlife can be seen in all ecosystems. This includes the deserts, forests, rain forests, grasslands and other areas. Different animals have adapted to different kind of environments and have therefore stuck to it.

Wildlife needs to be protected by all means and kept safe from any danger.  The wildlife conservation is therefore should be a priority to many. It has however be noted the damage that is caused to the environment is mainly caused by the human beings. This can be done knowingly or unknowingly. Some of the harm that is caused by the human beings is through the activities that they participate in, and this might cause direct damage to the plants and the animals. The future generation should be allowed to see the beauty of the wildlife, and this can only be possible if we conserve the environment today. Some of the activities that cause harm to the environment include cutting trees. The human beings may cut down trees for their benefit like for wood and other uses. This leaves the wildlife without food, shade and green vegetation. The wild animals suffer from hunger, and they may eventually die. This is a main danger to the wildlife since death can result to some animals becoming instinct. When the humans cut down trees, they eliminate a way of getting rainfall and lack of rainfall will result in poor growth in plants. This may affect the human beings directly since the crops that they plant will not be healthy, and they will eventually die.

Other human activities include poaching. Poaching is an illegal activity that should be eliminated in all countries. This is the act of killing some animals so that they can get some of their body parts. The poachers get the ivory from the elephants and the rhino that they can sell them. This gets them a lot of cash, and this is the main reason why poaching has increased. Poaching has to lead to the extinction of some animals like rhino since they have to kill the animal in order to get the ivory. The government should introduce a law for those who practice poaching and they should fine them heavily for their action. The government should also not agree to buy illegal ivory, and they should also trace where it came from. Look up Wilderness International online for even more details.
